Full Text Search PriceDX's search engine is based on the full text boolean search system. Here are some of the rules for the search engine: Every keyword in a search ends with a wildcard
Example: a search for "Game" will find records with "Games" or "Gamers". Every keyword does NOT begin with a wildcard Example: a search for "12345" will not find records with "012345" or "the12345". The following special characters are acceptable ("-", ".") Example: a search for "2.0" will show results that contain "2.0". Quotation marks are ignored (single and double quotes) Example: a search for 19" will show results that contain 19. The length of your search must be 2 characters or more The keyword "6" will work only if the complete search query is 2 characters or more. Example: "6 GB" will work. The results must contain all keywords in a search Example: a search for "athlon 4800" will find records with "Athlon 4800 CPU OEM" but not "4800 CPU". The search is designed for users who know what they are looking for We expect you to enter specific model numbers or product names in the search field. Some stores enter product names differently Consider this fact when entering a search. If you don't get the results you want, try again but try typing the keywords differently. Example: "250GB" can be also written as "250 GB". In this case, a search for "250GB" will only find one of them. But a search for "250" will find both results. |
